Create a New Document for an APA, MLA, or Turabian Research Paper

Start Word, and click Addins, Dr Paper, New Document.

Dr Paper is on the Add-ins menu for Word.

Install Dr Paper Software from a CD

Choose the style for your paper from the Document Template Selection dialog, and click OK.

For longer papers, you might need to include an abstract page and a table of contents. Check with your instructor or editor.

Complete the Details dialog, and click OK.

Dr Paper will create a Word document correctly formatted.

Save your document with a new name!

Begin typing your paper, using the built-in styles to format the text correctly.

Once the paper has been created, you can edit it, close it and reopen it as you would any other Word document.
