Before you begin writing, check with your graduate school or advisor to make certain you
understand the exact requirements for a dissertation submitted to
your institution. Graduate schools often have requirements that differ slightly
from the exact guidelines in outlined in the Publication Manual of the
American Psychological Association, so make sure you don't skip this step!
The Dr Paper Software dissertation templates are available through the
Windows Programs Menu.
To access Dr Paper Software through the Windows Programs Menu:
1. Load your Programs Menu*, and scroll down to Dr Paper Version 6.
To display the Windows Programs Menu, click on the Windows 10
icon in the lower left hand corner of your screen.
2. Scroll down and choose Template: Advanced - APA Dissertation,
or Template: Advanced - Turabian Dissertation.

3. Start writing.
Once you create the document, you can edit it like any other Word document.
Tip: Many students find that it is more convenient to write chapters as
separate documents (using the standard Dr Paper Software APA paper template),
and then copy the text of
that document to a "master" document, containing all the front matter,
table of contents, appendices, tables, and chapters.
