Writing Academic Papers and Citing Sources in APA, MLA or Turabian Format
If Word is your preferred writing tool on a Windows PC, you can use Dr Paper Software to easily format your class papers and write your references.

1. Use Dr Paper to Create a new Document for Your Paper

2. Enter Your References in a Datafile.

Dr Paper includes a smart CiteWrite app for handling your references.

Just choose Add-ins > Dr Paper > References.

Choose the type of source (i.e., web page, article in a journal) and enter the information on your reference.

You will have one record for each reference.


Citing an article in a reference list


In text citations are formatted in the Preview box. You can use Citation's Preview box to format APA or MLA in-text citations, as well as Turabian footnotes, just by changing the Style.

To place the in-text cite (or footnote) into your paper, just click the "Insert Citation in Document" tab. Simple!

3. Write the Reference List.

To write the Reference List, just click Format, Write Bibliography.
You can format your references in APA, MLA, Turabian, Vancouver (Medical Journal), or Anthropological style.

Use the menu on the Bibliography Dialog to change the style.
